Of Filters

Individuality, I embrace

For my perceptions lie within my head.

I seek no filter to cover my face;

For lack of independence, I'd be dead.

I'm free of the cage I once was confined

Of filters and falsities I saw true.

But alas, a man shall not be defined

Nor judged by past opinions set askew.

To the mountains and deserts, I explore

The vastness of it all. I am alone.

I will conquer this trek - set my own score.

For it is to myself, I will be shown.

Here's to the moment we open our eyes,

And realize that filters tell ourselves lies.
