I remember when I meant the world to You

I was your 'everything'

Now I'm just another line in your book

I think back to how it was when we first met

I remember the butterflies

and the way my stomach turned when I saw You

Hours of talking turned into days

Days then turned into months

Months turned into years, and at this point, I was in much too deep

I fell for You--

I fell hard through the springtime, and into the summer

We hit a few bumps in the road as July tuned to August

and it seemed to rain for a while

September came,

then October,

then November,

I saw you in a coffee shop in December

You sat on the windowsill, cool, calm, and collected

as you flipped through your book

You didnt have to say anything

I could tell by the way you looked

As your big brown eyes scanned across my line

And I watched you close the book.
