Final Bell

Ding dong, ding dong

The bell shall toll for me

Ding dong, ding dong

The echo sounds with equal strength

Twice I face the toll

It says I must pay it's price

A heart black as coal

I pushed my way, climbed up high

A mountain of my lesser

The hurt for my own right to gains

Become the fancy dresser

Ding goes the bell inside my head

Try to silence with my wealth

Dong goes the echo to call me back

Rushing to failing health

Ding dong of death

All are set free

Ding dong, ding dong

I am an unpublished poet and have been writing for the past two years. I have many poems but am hesitant to share online but gladly share in person. I still write because of all those that have enjoyed reading my writing.
