The Final Bow
Days keep on passing me by,
As I sit alone in this bed.
I tell myself the same lie,
To get you out of my head.
I was young and naive, Oh so foolish and dumb.
Because you made me feel so lucky,
And that my day had finally come.
I poured my heart and my soul,
My entire life as a whole.
But you ripped out my heart,
And replaced it with a hole.
I was living in this dream world,
Day in and day out.
But was forced back to reality,
Hit hard, and could only shout.
I'm confined to this room,
On this cold hard bed.
While the thoughts only loom,
Please get out of my head.
It's hard to admit, But I'm finally done.
We fought this battle, this war, And you know that I won.
I finally figured it out, And what to do now.
When that curtain goes up, I'll have the final bow.
