The Final Frontier

Somewhere in the infinite reaches of the sky, where the stars wander lighting our way till their death, my mind stumbles with them where blind is my eye, on my own path in that dark vault that steals my breath. Outside of the boundaries of the Earth past rugged spheres of lands and seas unseen my heart has found it's final resting hearth among those quiet rocks, in some strange machine. And if I come across things unforeseen, when I set foot on galaxies distant, I wonder if I'll understand what they mean, be entirely enlightened in that instant. But until I find myself in that weightlessness, I will bear this burden, and prove my usefulness.
