Final Promenade

A human always needs pure oxygen

Forever I desire my mom’s love

Swift streams of open air, life’s origin

My mom’s warm touch keeps me a flying dove

A mortal cautiously sees finite breath

Affection leaves in silent treachery

Appearing endless but expunged by death

Please mom don’t go! I’ll choke in misery

I cannot live without you dear mama

You cultivate my passion and success

Vanish, my soul will decay with trauma

A life of darkness, but now I confess

I was a selfish leech exploiting care

Now I am older with a grateful heart

My stubborn youth is obsolete and bare

Dream a new dawn; never we will depart

You galvanize me to breathe fortitude

In heaven, we will hug in gratitude
