Finale ... satire

2 Peter 1:9

For he who lacks these things is shortsighted, even to blindness,

and has forgotten that he was cleansed from his old sins.

Finale

“Later in life” started long ago

Priorities disguised for hidden desires

Neglect of wife being treated as foe

Always surprised with emotions on fire

Words: “Not now” are well-known

Chosen blindness now the daily light

Somehow there’s no need to grow

As Life Himself is really out of sight

Stumbling around in one’s chosen direction

Trying to support what is not there

Round after round vagueness and perplex-ion

One can ill afford fake-truth everywhere

A dead end street you approach without sensing

Carrying lots of baggage and blind as a bat

Moving at full speed without comprehension

Leaving a life of carnage in your final crash
