Finality

James 1:27

27 Pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this:

to care for orphans and widows in their misfortune and to keep oneself

unstained by the world.

Finality

Give me that good old religion ... or give me godliness?

Let me be within myself ... or maybe far beyond

In self dwells no good ... just a form of selfishness

so that in self is no choice ... only death right up front

In the nations of old ... all rules came from the king

If so repented ... he could order all to do his wishes

In the "Modern World" ... when habit orders to sing

most folks swallow their puke out of paper dishes

Some will sing in harmony and some a different tune

We all beat the drum ... to kill the trumpet sound

But one day the rhapsody will in smoke and fumes

sound the final hymn ... as judgment will abound
