Finally

Awakening from a tap on my shoulder.

Blinking my eyes

Once,

Twice.

Peering through the window

To see the sun shine on a sign,

That akes me smile.

Pulling into the lot

Not waiting a minute a more to get out.

Racing my siblings to the ferry

To take us to a magical place.

Stepping off the ferry

And taking my first steps onto a land

I never want to leave.

I inhale everything around me

From salty pretzel to sugary cinnamon churros.

From giggles to little girls dressed up in little outfits.

I look straight adhead to see two mice on the steps of a castle.

I walk slowly to get closer,

But stop to see people in front of me.

As I wait and wait as if it has been years,

It is my turn.

I remember back to the sign,

"Where dreams come true"
