Finally
Finally I am free, Free to be me, Whomever that is. His words no longer lead the way, now its what I say. Day after day, all I did, was listen to something that was stupid. It was stupid, because it wasn't what I wanted. Flaunted by the life I didn't have, I couldn't stand to look at myself. While he, himself, never bothered to wonder if I was fine. Dine on dreams, I did, until now. The cow, he chose another to follow him. Another to love him. Brim I did with tears, until now. Now, I have a best friend who cares, one who shares. Now, I can find a love that doesn't suffocate me. Now, I can be me. Finally, I can be strong. Finally, I can belong. Finally, I can be free. Finally, I can be me.
