Finally Free

For their freedom they took a stand Through pain and sufferage they never surrendered They stood up for what they believed in and they never backed down Through discrimination and what little privileges that they had they fought for their freedom in their own country that claimed to be free It took one voice, one man, one dream to shake a nation of its feet a dream that screamed freedom that all people were to be equal It took millions of tears to make one right a right thats civil for us all a right that swept across the nation and made us human a right that deserves attention a right that saves people each and every day a right that made us who we are and who we want to be we dont have to worry about race anymore we dont have to worry about gender we can sleep at night knowing that we're safe knowing that we can be ourselves we have freedom freedom of speech freedom of religion freedom of who we are We're finally free and that belongs to us.
