Finally free
It's easier to bleed on paper, people don't abandon you as quickly
You feel like you're not alone, words become lifelines that other people
can actually see, sos doesn't sound so much like a cry help when it's colored with a metaphor
no one ever questions your pain when on a stage, no ever wonders if your crazy
when on the stage, on the page you're allowed to be human, able to live in whatever messed up
realities you rest your head, the hurt, the terror, the abuse, the pain, the beauty is finally
allowed to exist, because most days we have to hide our humanity, people don't know how or don't
want to deal with the truth that is enveloped in being raw, letting your heart speak freely
without your mind pulling the plug on vulnerability is hard to do,
in this day and age hurt is so easy to catch, we'll strave oursleves of anything real jsut to stay alive
the emotionless say they're doing it for the protection of themsleves yet they crave that truth, crave that passion,
crave the rawnesss, it's hard to be you when that such thing caused so much pain, we hold
what people do to us as internal punches, essentially lcoking vulnerability in a cage,
making poetry the next best thing we got, vulnerability isn't questioned when colored
with a metaphor, humanity is finally free on the stage
