FINALLY FULL

when I first met you my heart was guarded

when I first saw you I thought nothing of just holding a friendship

when I first met you I didn't think it'd be you who would open me up

when I first met you I didn't think it'd be you who would see me for who I am and still see beauty

when I first met you I would've never thought  we'd be where we are today

you caught me off guard like a sudden rain shower on a sunny day

you opened me up as a tulip does when it blossoms

you morphed me into a better version of myself as if I were a caterpillar transforming into a butterfly

you've inspired me to be greater

you've made me see all that I truly am

you are my first thought in the morning and

you are my last thought before bed

I knew you touched my heart the minute I found myself waking up to scroll through my messages in hopes of finding a message from you.

I knew you touched my heart when I would instantly worry about you the minute I saw something bad on the news

I knew you touched my heart when I missed you even when we were on the phone simply just because you weren't there with me

I knew you touched my heart when I couldn't wait to fall asleep to dream about you

I knew you touched my heart when I longed to hear your voice

I knew you touched my heart ...

you've touched my heart

I am no longer guarded. I am vulnerable

I am no longer just your friend. I am more.
