Finally A Good One

I never believed in love at first sight

Relationships were controlling and people now only want part time with no commitments

Even when I had someone I felt alone and unwanted

Someone only worthy of being on the side

That was until June 7, 2016

The day I met you

From that day forward I knew I wanted you for the rest of my life

And you also wanted me

Showed me that love really existed

Showed me I was worthy of love

You treated me like a princess

Not just some side chick only wanted when convenient for him

You cared for me

You cared about me

And you showed me how I should be treated

Not like that old moldy left over in the back of the refrigerator

You allowed me to hang out with my friends without a fuss

You hung out with yours

That was how it was supposed to work

Not me waiting for when you would call so I could come over and feel wanted

As we began to grow closer together the “I love you” meant more

I never realized how good it felt to actually be loved

That was until June 7, 2016

The day I met YOU

And I knew from that moment

We were right and I never wanted to lose you
