Finally Goodbye

How could you do that?

How could you say those things?

I thought we were friends

Now I know I thought wrong

Your opinion mattered to me

You were my best friend

We knew everything about each other

Then you ruined it, and I only made it worse

Of course, I will miss you

Even though I know, I should not

But you won’t miss me at all

So that is why I have to do this

This is goodbye, for now and forever

I’ll leave you be, if you leave me be

But before we part our separate ways

I have just one question that remains

Why?

You knew how much he meant to me

And yet you did it anyway

This is it, the end, the goodbye
