Find a Way

I pushed it away for way too long;

the need to help others,

because how can I help someone else

if I'm going through the same thing?

I've been in that place.

The horrible place of not wanting to eat.

Not wanting to look in the mirror,

but through the years I have gotten better

Little by little,

slowly but surely,

I'll be at that place in my life

Where I can help kids that were once in my shoes.

I'll help them find themselves

and love themselves

and that's all I want to do
