Find X?

Longing for a way to keep the school day at bay I wake to find yet another A-day I throw back the covers to fall out of bed and stub my toe Why must my mornings be filled with so much woe? So far it’s gotten off to a crappy start At least I have McCann for Art. I walk into class to find an empty seat, where Jeremy sits I wonder if he’s forgotten what day it is…he is a little slow about the wits. I say none of this to be cruel, But he just doesn’t do well in school. Don’t get me wrong he does have a few redeemable qualities Unfortunately the rest are centered on pure frivolities Then there’s Amber with eyes so large, one would swear she could see to mars. She’s another that often has her head in the stars… Astronomy that is But she may want to keep her mind on school if she wants to pass this quiz Prime and proper And yes she is quite the shopper There’s also Kamakshi, who represents the ideal student Yet she’s not very prudent She’s often up studying into the later hour But when she comes to class her attitude is never sour Hold on who am I missing? Oh! There she is, Allison, always late…I wonder who she’s been kissing? She wore designer jeans and a tight shirt It’s a wonder she’s only labeled as the class flirt… Finally the gangs all present, but just to be clear Our tale starts here In through the open window, on a gentle fall breeze, wafts a piece of paper, Which is still a little damp from the morning vapor Quick, grab it! What does it read? Wait! Whatever it says, let’s just keep it between us, agreed? For some will say that on such a pretty day, It’s quite easy to be lead astray… Who knew this piece of paper would lead us on a scavenger hunt Out the class we make a mad dash, once again united on a common front One shouted we are so going to have a ball! No, Amber you cannot go to the mall! The first item… find x Find X? What a way to vex? Well X is normally equal to Y, but it is also one of the sex determining chromosomes Kamakshi offers Well maybe it’s a moral Wait, what did you say about oral? Woah Allison! No one said oral….clean out your ears! No wonder she’s not accepted among her peers For our sake X will remain unknown Just be prepared to have your mind blown.
