Finding The Better Me
My emotions have been a big part of me,
They have a say in who I am and who I want to be,
In the past year with the virus hitting and being in quarantine,
It’s given my emotions a chance to become keen,
They hit really hard while being in isolation,
It also gave me a chance to deal with confrontation,
My emotions may have been a part of me and determined who I am,
But I shouldn’t let them stop me from being who I can,
Realization came to me when I was with overwhelming sadness,
It’s time for me to stop letting them manifest,
And allow myself to become my best,
And to stop thinking that I’m any less,
Just because my emotions have been and are apart of me,
Doesn’t mean they should stop me from living happily,
