Finding God

I felt so empty deep inside

there was no where I could Hide

That day i took my first drink

changed my life more than i would think

It filled an empty space nothing else would

so I started to drink whenever I could

soon I needed it everyday

just so I would feel okay

I partied and met up with strangers

life was a mess

I had a problem

I had to confess

I knew I couldnt do it alone

there was a lord I once had known

when i gave my life back to him

he helped me through the night so dim

i dont need alcohol anymore

he filled the gap that was there before

It dosent matter what Ive done or where I ve been

because I will never be that person again

i thank god everyday for who i am today

since he took the cravings away

Now its only for him I thirst

because he loved me at my worst.
