Finding Happiness

Looking for happiness in all the wrong places

Searching through the loneliness and desperation

To find happiness in different faces

But only to be reminded that you’re framed in two different spaces

You’ve watched the pictures and the snapshots

However this is what you thought

As you fought to find happiness on one of your own faces

You reached for the mirror and it’s ten times clearer

Through your eyes you see and you think this is me

For once in your life you see the blinding truth

But to your dismay it’s a reflection of you

As you look at your reflection

You start the recollection of what brought you to this section

And then you see like a blunt force to your head all your imperfections

Smirking at the face that you see in the mirror

You then make the ultimate joke “At least your not dead.”
