Finding the Light

Drip, drop, drip, drop goes the rain These tears I cry are tears of pain My heart so full of sorrow I don’t want the sun to come out tomorrow My eyes so blind, shut so tight It’s hard to find the light I hope to see it every day Even with my eyes wide open there is no way I try so hard to find the light Falling into eternal night My heart broken and in shatters The pieces left are merely tatters I’m so hurt, I feel so alone But somehow I know I’m never on my own I pray that I will find the light Even if it seems so out of sight I pray I’ll grow wings and fly away Fly away I will, somehow, some day.
