Finding the light

It means alcohol is no longer a welcomed burn

It means the lines are not blurred, screams are silenced, and your heart is calm

You feel like all the weight is lifted off your chest and you can breath again

It means every day you can’t wait to get out of bed and see them

You know when seeing them you're welcomed with love and not a new bruise

It means no longer hating yourself because you love them

You live your life alongside someone who wants you to be happy

It means you don't have to say yes when you want to say no

You never have to hate yourself again

A healthy relationship means finally finding a light to live in

And never returning to the dark
