Finding love

It was one beautiful summer day Feet swinging off the tailgate He asked me if I could stay He asked me if I believed in fate I grew up in a city that never sleeps He was from a small town, in his heart country grew deep We met one night in panama, spring break on the beach He wanted to dance so he came to me His eyes blue as the sky His voice making my heart fly Irrational feelings, I couldn't explain why He knew soon I said goodbye Love hurt me more than once Like a gypsy I run Faster than a bullet shot from a gun I'll be heading toward another town He says, love it hurt you, I know it did But love can save you, if you just let me in You gotta trust like a little kid Your heart won't be on a bid He saw in me a lady He knew I wanted to be somebody's baby I knew he could love me like crazy His love could save me I wasn't born to wear gypsy boots But love always made me feel blue Insecurities deep in my roots Hidden by disputes It was one beautiful summer day Roses on the front gate Marraige vows proved I'd stay I whispered I believed in fate
