Finding Me

These words are what keep me from going insane They are full of the weight I force myself to carry everyday All of things that I've left unsaid All the the thoughts that are tangled in my head They started forming at a young age At the time I could barely fill up half a page But now they flow out of me and I can't seem to stop All these words could fill a room to the very top With every word I write I feel more free Every line makes me feel more like me They help me understand all the things I've seen Like why the grass is green and even more complicated things like why people say things they don't mean When I started these words were only meant for me to admire But lately I have found that I could use them to inspire I've learned that they should be shared with friends That when someone's feeling hurt they have have the power to mend So now here I am ten years later I am now a creator I use my words to encourage those around me They are why I know who I am meant to be
