Finding Me

I have been broken.

I have been fixed.

I have been bandaged.

I have been torn.

I have laughed and cried, said goodbye to all the old mes.

And new mes.

I found me.

Locked up in the cellar of my mind

and in time she would have been nothing

but bones and I would never have known.

Faith came to me and moved me,

and those who knew me would finally know me.

I found me.

Lost like a broken compass.

Still trying to find my way.

I was my own tour guide,

but I still needed the pamphlet.

And that's how I found me.

It took a while, it took a few bloodhounds. But I found me.
