Finding My Way Out of a Paper Bag

The journey started in a paper bag, dark, crinkling, fragile Sliding up and climbing out, light drew, lost, and crawled back Shouting, accusations, blame, slaps, crawled back Sacrifices made and for whom Tried to please and not good enough, crawled back A pill, a clarity, more focus, not enough, crawled back Mom gone, Dad in charge, peering out, crawled back Dad gone, mom back, bag is tearing, torn, no crawling back Sense setting in. Cycle breaking, no need tocrawl back. Peace.
