Finding the needle of yourself

i was left to find myself

finding yourself is like finding the needle

in a hay stack

it was hard

i bled a lot

inside and out

i still haven’t found that needle

maybe someday i will find it

but then again i may never find the needle

they tell us we need to find it

find it as quickly as you can so you can be

grown up and be miserable too.

the problem is

it takes a long time to find

and who says we want to grow up and be miserable?

Not I,

not you,

not we,

we are left to find ourselves

finding ourselves is harder than finding the needle

in that damned hay stack
