Finding peace
we won't find peace at the UN
we won't find it in a stuffy old room
with stuck up old men
no we won't find peace at the UN
peace is here and there
peace is hiding everywhere
but we can't find it at the UN
no, peace hides at the park
and in the backyard
while mothers cry
they watch their children play
color blind, and free
no we can't find peace at the UN
peace is neither black nor white
peace is the ones so young they don't know
they don't know their parents pain
all they know is how to be
how to be a friend
how to be a helping hand
no you won't find peace at the UN
you'll find it at the playground
with children of every race
lighting up every war torn face
never knowing
what all of them will grow to be
because hope fades like the end of a day
and one day night will fall
because they don't know
you can't find peace at the UN
no you can't find peace
not in a room with stuffy old men
they have a quota to save
they have some hearts to break
no peace isn't for stuffy old men
it's for the young
cause they don't know
not yet
what it hurts
what it costs
no one tells the no net yet
but soon they'll hear it
whispered to the wind
to this or that
black
or white
there's somewhere they'll want to be
but they won't belong
they can't belong
and then they'll forget
No you can't fin peace at the UN
and you never will
