Finding Rest
I am trying my best.
Life’s demands are kicking me around as I reach toward His plan.
I tell myself to breathe.
Anxiety plagues my being as I am looking for a break.
Will relief ever come?
I think so.
I hear Him speak to me.
“Cast all of your cares upon Me and I will give you rest,” He says.
I hold back and resist.
“It’s I who gives strength to endure. Rest in Me my beloved”.
Leaving my intellect,
I find rest.
I see the light shining.
There is a new hope springing up in my soul as I look to Him.
I hear songs of triumph.
Refreshing winds blow upon the garden of my heart and I smile.
Here I am Lord, send me.
I am sent.
