Finding to rest love.

I think I was searching  for love

something to fill my void.

lost and empty in an empty world

just need someone to connect to.

someone who gets me

loves me

understands me...

someone who I can depend on

and then I found you..

when I'm around you

my scars

don't feel like scars,

like wounds,

nor hurt.

They feel like a chance

to a beginning

all thanks to you...

You thought me how to live

to survive

you thought me how to love...

Then it all went wrong

you left me

stranded and alone

hopeless.

I try to convince myself it wasn't me

but it's all so strange

laying alone in my bed

wishing that things would change...

I get a call in the middle of the night

 saying "Your husband has died"

I look over and cry

but tears won't bring you life

You're gone and gone for good...

I can still feel you around my arms

Your innocence rubbing off

you could do no wrong

you were always so able

so fast and strong

You taught me that life was

not that bad

That there was always a path waiting for me

that no matter how lonely I was

I wasn't alone.

you taught me how to survive

and for that I praise you

so please, Mark, go

rest in peace

for you will be in my memory...
