Finding the Way

I was born on the first of May

In a hospital in Poughkeepsie New York

I have been through my life with little dismay

But now I come to a fork

Is college worth the money?

Should I continue going to school?

I can see that life isn’t all milk and honey

College is a must needed tool

I will fight

To make my mother proud

Because I do have a right

To stand apart from the crowd

And to be able to say

That the boy born in May

Has given his all every single day
