Finding You

With the rain and the snow, I don't know where to go. All I know is I need to find you. Christmas day, and you're still lost. I'll finally have a peaceful one, but at what cost? On and on, late into the night. I search for you and try to make things right. Defeated, I walk slowly home, only to find you sitting on my step, alone. I slapped you, I was so hurt. But then I let go of trying to be curt. I fell into your arms and breathed in your scent knowing I would never let you go with all the time alone I spent. Because without you my heart is not whole, my world was hollowed out like a shallow bowl. Always know that I love you, with my heart, my soul, and my life too.
