Fine

So how are you all feeling today?
Fine, I would assume.
What a great answer.
It really encompasses people.
Why?
Because Fine is probably the most emotionally frustrated word in the English dictionary if you really think about it.
If a girl tells a boy fine she literally means "I hate love you. I want you to grovel at my feet but actually don't talk to me. Wait love me. No I hate you."
If a boy says that to a girl, he's done. He literally does not care anymore. The girl literally sucked all his emotions away and life at this point is just gray matter.
Fine to him is what women wish fine could mean to us but we have so much damn estrogen that well that was a cute idea.
Fine.
No really I'm fine.
Oh okay, just making sure.
Hold on! Of course I'm not fine you idiot.
Every conversation had between two angry lovers.
Kid walks into car,
Parent or guardian asks
"How was school honey?"
"Parent or guardians name insert here, it sucked copious amounts of male genitalia. Actually I would rather suck copious amounts of male genitalia than ever go back. I hate everyone. How did my teachers even get their degrees, I swear they are all high while giving their pathetic excuse for a lecture. And my so called peers. Goodness, what I wouldn't give to build a time machine just so I could go back in time and give all their parents condoms and birth control. I wanna eat a pound of food and pass out."
Ha ha. That isn't what you said. But oh how those thoughts were rushing through your head like nascar drivers on the track.
Instead you force a ill looking smile and say "Oh it was fine."
He or she smiles and says "oh that's great."
If you would have said your real answer he or she would have spontaneously combusted because any other answer than fine is not in our lingo.
It goes against code.
If you say anything but fine you might as well just shot the president.
It's funny, don't you think.
Fine, it is a word spewing miscommunication.
The biggest problem with people.
Gossiping, misunderstanding, words left unsaid.
Maybe if we realized that we don't have codes.
Because we aren't robots.
We aren't machines or computers.
We are people,
Humans
With feelings.
And they need to be shared.
We aren't always so fine.
Some days arent so sunny.
I mean,
Is being fine all the time
Really all that fine?
Hi, How are you doing?
Oh hello, I'm doing fine.
