Fingers and Web

And as you slip from my hands

winding between fingers and web

razors slice my palms and the blood is a mess

I squeeze harder

trying to stop the red

I squeeze harder

digging blades deeper than they’ve been

yet

I can’t catch a grip

yet

I can only feel it

Yet I can’t only experience this pain as I try to heal it.
