fire

Desecration in the worst sense.

“Your body is a temple, treat it with respect.”

“I tried.”

“Not hard enough.”

It wasn’t my fault that he gutted me like a deer during hunting season.

Like a trophy to be hung on the wall.

I was a field of wildflowers,

destroyed,

by a fire that was him.
