The Fire

Like the soft ember glow, you cast a fire.

You bring down everything I've built up over a millenia.

You've taken my past, present, and leave only future.

How do I rebuild the past? Only on a dark road.

This road shall never be taken.

I'm surrounded by ruins,

They still stand strong,

But they are left to decay.

Such are my memories, and actions.

When it was the midst of ‘15, I gave chase.

Building yet another monument to my past.

It was perhaps the strongest, and it has fallen

But it still stands, turned into something new…

What could've been, or what couldn’t.

It doesn’t matter, your a fire taking my past.

Changing it to ash, and to nothing.

You are destroying the past for the future.

A new beginning to a new millenia.

Thank you, you have changed this world,

Truly forever.
