Fire

The smoke curls,
Surrounds the room
The monoxide twirls,
Impending doom
The flames dance,
Before my eye
The flames prance,
The fumes make me cry
The search is on
Room to room
Is it gone?
Is the fire done
Raging on and on
Is it continuing to have fun
Destroying my place
Without a trace
But it shall still somehow live on.
