Fire

When her fingertips
Stripped the lining of my soul
Grasping deeper than before
She pulled me closer, and closer
As I always hoped for
The warmth of another
Melts solid ice, a relief
That only we felt, for a moment
The universe faded, decayed
Until all that remained
Was a smile on our face, and
The sound of our desires
Catching their breath
Relighting a fire
That will never go out
