Fire and Ice

Theres a fire in my soul and pain hidden behind my eyes,

Niether of which I can control.

A fire fueled by sorrow, regret, and guit.

raging everyday and is the drive for my soul.

The pain is masked by a fake smile and a quick "Im fine",

but hidden benetah is a sea of shame, fear, and hopelessness.

building an indestructible wall of ice, a barrier from the past.

Fire clashing against ice

each becoming equally stronger

growing more and more everyday

Never at rest

and never to settle

forever a war inside

one that I must hide
