The Fire Bird

I am the fire bird, blinding and proud

Having to stumble before I could fly

Instead, I shall brush myself off and rise

No longer shall I be amidst the crowd

Into the ashes I cast off my shroud

Only to take flight high into the sky

The fire consumed and left me to die

Reborn, I rose and took flight without doubt

Through the fire, I light the path ahead

Mistakes turned to lessons, I share the past

Ashes to rebirth, you thought I was dead

Buring up in my own light at long last

To rise up stronger and transcend the dread

Leaving all of those nay-sayers aghast
