The Fire Dance

He comes every night

Kisses me with his memory

Reminding me of what is gone

His fire burned aimlessly though

Caotic, blown out of control

Like a theif it took my green patures

His fire  danced all around me

Consumed my every breath

But with smokey inhibition,

Wonder struck!

I wanted to know how to make my flames dance

"Teach me the fire dance oh teacher"

I sang to his song with stinging eyes.

His reckless answer fed my fire

Till it soared beyond the moon.

My dancing flames, like his.

Hot, and roaring, smouldering greenery,

The smoke stung my eyes no more.

They were black like coal now.

I only saw the flame, the beautiful flame!

But that was when it took me,

All I had.  Like a theif in the night

Robbed me, suffocating my flowers.

Now my fire teacher has come again

He's kissing me with his flaming memory

Reminding me of the reason for this wasteland.
