The Fire of Peace

Peace is the essence of fire

The fire that burns deep within us

Purging the hate

which cries out the tears of war

Peace is honoring those who stay strong in adversity

Never fearing the chains of despair

Peace is gaining strength of wisdom

never to indulge in idiocy

Even those without wisdom

there burns peace of courage.

Fire is burning away at the souls of hate

creating a room of salvation

And in this room

the future that peace creates

Fire like baptism purifies the wicked

and turns them into angles

higher and higher they fly

in order to touch the heavens

Fire like the sun

burns brighter in peace to light the way

The way to peace

is the fire that burns deep within us.
