Firesea

I wish I could see a light
A reason
Something to keep me from the edge
All I see is darkness surrounding me
Like a thick fog
It’s hard to breath
It’s hard to move
It’s hard to even be

I wish I could be better
More like them
Happy and smiling
Fake smiled and emotions enveloping
Like a building set ablaze
I’m fake
I’m a lie
I’m trapped in a wake

I wish I could fight
Tooth and nail
A way to keep
myself afloat
In this raging and unforgiving sea
Like Poseidon has always forsaken me
I’m lost
I’m useless
I’m not worth the cost
