Fireworks on Display

It was on the 4th of July /

Against a sky of gray, /

We watched in delight/

At fireworks on display. /

A mixture of sounds, smells and colors so blindingly bright/

Create a star lit night of spectacular lights/

Higher and higher they soar parading the sky/

Reflections of their splendor is seen in every bystander’s eye/

Bursting and whistling, twirling giving off a vivid air show, /

A kaleidoscope of colors s set the skies aglow/

A star spangled spectacle/

 Commemorating the day/

Our nation declared her independence/

In a sky blazing way/
