First Day

Why can't we go back to when

I barely knew your name

back to when you were an unfamiliar face

in a crowded hallway

back when I could just walk on by

never took the time to say hi

don't exactly remember when it all changed

I just know i wish things had stayed the same

I try to lose myself in the music

and all I do is find you

every song I listen to

has you on my mind

All the lyrics

remind me of you

I cant escape you

release me from your prison

it hurts too much to love you

knowing you don't feel the same

I want to be free

from your constant presence

youre like a ghost

the way you haunt me

why cant you just fade away

till all your memories mean nothing

because right now your memories are like scars

I look upon them and remember their

stories like it was yesterday

Its been years now and I still feel

the way I felt that first day

we met
