The First Day of School
I held her hand tight
She looked at me with a smile
Said it’ll be okay
I let go and walked 2 steps
I turned around
And there she vanished
She left me alone
So I was scared
After that, I ran away
I ran away to the bathroom
I cried
I was scared, I was furious
I wondered to myself
Why would she leave me
That day I got bullied
That day I got an A
That day I got talked about
That day I fell
But she was nowhere to be found
She once told me
When I fall she’ll be there to catch me
When I cry she’ll be there to help me
When I am alone she’ll be there to comfort me
So I thought to myself was all of that a lie
So again
That day I got bullied
That day I got an A
That day I got talked about
That day I fell
That day she was there finally there
She felt something wasn’t right with her baby
She was right
That day she caught me
That day she rescued me
That day she was my hero
That day was the first day of school
