First I was a seed

First I was a seed ready to sprout, but I had not the fertilizer within to grow.

The world was dark and there was little nuture. Everything was cold.

But then the sun came out and loved ones spoke conscious words of support.

I was born from fire, trial, and error. I sought to rise from my ashes and glow across the night sky.

It was then that my darkness no longer scared me,

for these were the trials that nurtured and the words that let me bud and bloom.

I hold the love and support of those beside me sacred as their words guide me,

and I know everything will be okay.
