First Kiss

When you had your first kiss

Did you expect it to be everything you heard about

Were the lips chapped and dried with blood satisfying against the virgin skin

Did the cold shaking hand holding you face

Trying to be tender

Leave a lingering chill behind

Did you keep your eyes closed and felt that moment of peace and thrill

When you had your first kiss

Did you taste the blood traced mouth behind the mint gum

When you had your first kiss

Did you realise your mouth was on a dying girl's one

They say that time can heal all wounds. Yet, we are the only species that uses the concept of time. I use my words to help try to relieve the thoughts that run through my mind and my past that I never say I am running from but more so avoiding and pretending I have fully overcame it.
