First In Line
The slip of forever stains your lips
Destined to be forgotten again
Words waiting patiently at the ready
Locked and loaded I'm floating
Arrive only to drift away slowly
Two lost hearts hoping and loathing
I smell a guilty new wond
Sixth sense, drawn to stitches
Pick pocketer of happy endings
Skipping ahead won't serve us well
Cloaked in an intricate woven wish
Hide and seek won't cure this itch
I'll play pretend if I can stay
First in line for this wicked game
Baby won't you tell me what's wrong?
String by string I play along
You hide it so well but my heart is all seeing
The blood still stains your sheets
Let me forgive you, or let me leave
Self inflicted third eye bruise
One and done I drank the juice
Passenger ticket no stops left
Take your time to catch your breath
Wonder which lie will caress my distress
Baby won't you tell me what's wrong
String by string I play along
You hide it so well, but my heart is all seeing
The blood still stains your sheets
Let me forgive you, or let me leave
I'll play pretend if I can stay
First in line for this wicked game
