First love's kiss

Kisses are nerve wrecking if they’re your first
But may kisses be fluid to quench love’s thirst
I’ll give him my lips and let him explore
He’s taken my heart and won’t beg for more
How can it be that I love him so much?
It’s not my body but my soul he wants to touch
So why can’t I kiss him?! Riddle me that
Maybe it’s will or courage that I lack?
Whatever it may be I beg my lips be free
Meet with his and perform a lovely song
But be quick and please don’t delay too long
I will you courage to be there to take a stand
For it is clear how much I’m in love with this man
Let me be unburdened with this unshed love’s kiss
Because I can’t go too long without knowing such bliss
So wish me luck and pray I kiss him tonight!
I promise I won’t give up without a fight!
